Dragon Ball Chap 02 - The Tournament Saga

And the second saga...

Dragon Ball episode 014 Goku's Rival
Goku heads to Master Roshi's island to seek his training and hone his martial arts. When Goku arrives he is told by Roshi the only way he will train him is by finding him a woman, and so Goku sets off to and fro bringing Roshi women whom he does not approve. Then, a mysterious boy Krillin, appears and ask Roshi to train him. Roshi is reluctant but Krillin soon sways him over with nudie magazines. Roshi then tells Krillin to go with Goku to aid him in finding Roshi a woman and then and only then will he train the both of them.


Dragon Ball episode 015 Look Out for Launch!
Goku and Krillin set off on Nimbus in search of a woman for their master. Meanwhile Launch, a notorious female criminal terrorizes the nearby area and robs a train. She then makes her getaway and is pursued by the police. Launch has an uncontrollable ability to transform between a gentle personality and a terrifying personality when she sneezes. While being chased Launch sneezes turning her into her meek blue haired personality. After being cornered by the police she cries and screams for help. Goku and Krillin hear her cries for help and save her, whom they then end up bringing with them back to Master Roshi. Roshi approves of Launch, and accepts the two boys to be taken on as his pupils.


Dragon Ball episode 016 Find That Stone
Master Roshi decides to move to a larger island so that he may begin his training of Goku and Krillin. When they get to the new island Roshi is curious to see his new students abilities, and has them run a 100m dash. Krillin finishes in 10.4 seconds while Goku beat him by finishing in 8 seconds flat. Master Roshi then runs himself and finishes in just over 5 seconds. He tells the boys that they need to be able to break human limitation. Master Roshi decides to give the boys their first test. He throws a rock over a cliff and tells them they have half an hour to retrieve it or no supper. By deceiving Goku, Krillin manages to find the stone first and receives his supper as a reward. As Goku watches Krillin and Roshi enjoying the tasty supper Launch has made she tells them she used pufferfish which caused Master Roshi and Krillin to keel over from the poison.


Dragon Ball episode 017 Milk Delivery
Master Roshi has Goku and Krillin deliver milk as their next test. At first Krillin and even Goku seem skeptical on how this could really help them, but after beginning they soon learn that their Master Roshi's training methods are nothing to be taken lightly. When they reach their last delivery stop it becomes knows that once every 5 years a tournament is held. Competing in the tournament are martial artists from all around the world and Roshi has is hopes set high for the two boys to enter it in 8 months. Surged with determination Goku and Krillin continue their training exhausted and aching only to find out mid-morning training has yet to begin.


Dragon Ball episode 018 The Turtle Hermit Way
As fighters from all around the world train for the upcoming World Martial Arts tournament Goku and Krillin continue their training with Master Roshi. After they finish their mid-morning regimen, Roshi instructs Goku and Krillin that they can not rely on just strength alone. A true martial artist's true power lay in his brain power and so Goku and Krillin begin study. Exhausted by the rigorous and intense training, Roshi has the boys continue their training regimen but now with the added weight of 50 pound turtle shells!


Dragon Ball episode 019 The Tournament Begins
Goku and Krillin continue their training with the turtle hermit Roshi. It's been 7 months since they began their training and feel its time they learned Martial Arts moves, but Roshi makes it clear he has nothing more to teach them. By completing his training they have advanced to a level far beyond when they first began increases their abilities. Once month later the World Martial Arts tournament arrives at long last! Goku meets Yamacha at the tournament whom also will be competing, and then runs into Bulma, Puar, and Oolong who will be watching Goku and Yamcha during the tournament.


Dragon Ball episode 020 Elimination Round
The tournament preliminary rounds begin. Out of 136 fighters including Yamcha, Goku, and Krillin only 8 will be allowed to fight in front of the crowd with no time limit, and in a bigger arena. Goku's preliminary match is first and he quickly wins his match with a tap of the finger. Weary of his strength, Goku tells Krillin not to use their full power yet. Goku, Krillin, and Yamacha are registered in 3 of the 8 spots of the tournament which is to begin soon!
